Our history

Founded in 1962 as a small family-run enamelling company named Hopalins, we began to specialize in the enamelling of cast iron products such as drinking troughs, parts for stoves and cast iron grids for kitchens

In the mid-60s Hopalins changed its name to Pramar and in the late 70s expanded its business to the production of antique style cast iron heating stoves with majolica style enamelling. This original and unique production technique allowed our company to create a good niche market, increase volumes and establish itself as a steadily growing company.

Passion and determination

During the crisis of the 1980s that also heavily involved the heating sector, Pramar S.r.l. decided to redesign its structure and its core business, cease the production of majolica style stoves and begin the production of enamelled grids for stove-tops, undertaking a complete production cycle going from the physical production of the grids themselves to their enamelling by electrostatic powder system.

New challenges and new goals

The vertical integration of processes has allowed Pramar S.r.l. to ensure product quality and competitiveness, and acquire a consolidated and significant role among grid producers.
After the death of co-founder Marchi Angiolino in 1988, his son Franco took the helm and decided to face the new challenges of the market by focusing on product quality and innovation and diversification in manufacturing processes. These points became the cornerstones of the corporate strategy, which still meets the needs of numerous industries producing household appliances in Italy and all over the world.
